Northern Michigan isn’t just where we work…it’s where we live.
North45 architecture is based in Petoskey Michigan, a quintessential resort town on the south shore of Little Traverse Bay, just north of the 45th parallel and completely surrounded by everything that is “Up North”. The studio itself is located in a simple gable structure featuring salvaged wide plank barnwood cladding, placed above a rustic overgrouted stone base which is contrasted against black corrugated metal cladding and a monumental scale glass entrance door. Simple in form, honest in materials, and 100% unapologetically modern in its detailing. Basically our design philosophy in built form.
A ten second and fifty foot commute from home, one block east of Petoskey’s Historic Gaslight District and a quarter mile from Lake Michigan.
This is where every design starts.
This is Northern Michigan.
This is home.
This is our place.
